I have yet to do terribly much "work" with my internship, but by virtue of the type of thing I am doing I don't really expect to. It has been nice so far, to be able to just hang out with the kids who come by, playing pool or soccer and getting a chance to know who they are. All of them are great-- most of the ones I have encountered so far are about in the 13-16 year range, but somehow I have little problem communicating and interacting with them.
Whitney's second day led her to re-name Quark "The Anti-Christ to InDesign." It took her 30 minutes to choose the right shade of black, but she was able to design her first spread for the magazine. She really likes her co-workers (as do I), as they are quite funny and always in good spirits.
Plus, she took the right bus home today, and it was ME who got a little confused. All I did was get off a few stops too early, so the only penance I had to pay was a considerably longer walk back home, a delay in seeing my Whitney, and a tad hungrier belly.

Yeah...Whitney's first contribution to the magazine...just the first of many I'm sure!
And yeah to Duncan for starting to strengthen that all important quality bonding time with the kids.

I just caught up on your posts and photography after a weeks absense. Beckie & I were reading at the same time (me starting from the bottom and her from the top) and were just LAUGHING and reading out parts to each other. You guys are great and I love your sense of humor and outlook.
It was also neat hearing about your museum visits- I also went to the National Gallery and History museums while there and LOVED them... somehow I managed to miss teh Bog People display (hard to believe), so it was good to hear more details about it.
