Since Duncan put the entry up yesterday, I forgot to remind him to mention our quest for a hair dryer.
They are very hard to come by here! Or, if they are not, they are hidden deep within the stores we visited. We eventually found one at a pharmacy, but it was €40!!!!! That's a lot! We eventually found one for under €20 at a department store.
Once we conquered that part of the quest, I tried to find a mirror because the bathrooms don't have outlets here. That took a long time as well... I eventually found one at a different pharmacy for under €10. Do these prices sound outrageous? That's because they are! Everything is expensive here, even in the little suburbs on the coast (one of which had a Toni & Guy Hair Salon, which I found to be hilarious).
There is also a mall in almost every town we stopped in, though they are better hidden and smaller than our monster malls.There is also an abundance of Claire's here (the jewelry store).
Anyhow, as I used my hairdryer this morning, I was thinking how glorious it felt to actually do my hair, and that I should share that sentiment with all of you!
Now, off to today's adventures...
